A Guide To Writing Your Own Script
If you are interested in creating a podcast you can find directions at the link below. Make sure to put your first and last name when you save your file.
CREATING YOUR OWN PODCASTS:
If you would like to create your own podcast at home, here is a site where you can download the program Audacity to use: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
If you download Audacity to record podcasts, you will also need to download this file to convert the audacity recording to an MP3. Follow these directions:
1. Go to the LAME download page: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&i=lame-mp3
2. Under “For Audacity on Windows”, left-click on the link “libmp3lame-win-3.97.zip” and save the zip folder to anywhere on your computer. When you have finished downloading the ZIP folder, unzip it and save the file lame_enc.dll that it contains to anywhere on your computer.
3. The first time you use the “Export as MP3″ command, Audacity will ask you where lame_enc.dll is saved.
OR you could use a program called GCast and record your podcast using a telephone. Mrs. Branson has a GCast account and will assist you with this if you’d like to do it at school. Listen to her podcast below as she explains how it all works.
